John-Marshall Stubbs joined Wavemaker Partners as an Associate in September of 2018 after working directly with General Partner, Buck Jordan at Canyon Creek Capital. He spends his time working in nearly every aspect of Wavemaker Partners, from deal sourcing and due diligence, to raising capital for the fund. Additionally, John-Marshall has an active role in Wavemaker Labs partaking in corporate development and product management.

Prior to Wavemaker, John founded Curated Clothing Company a swimwear brand that collaborated with artists in multiple countries. The line is still sold in boutique stores across the nation from Nantucket to Los Angeles and Mexico. Prior to Curated, John-Marshall was Director of Business Development at Wanderu, “the Kayak for bus and train travel,” a ground travel aggregator that operates throughout North America and Europe. Additionally, John-Marshall has a strong affinity to fine art as an investment class, which he believes has similar risk/reward dynamics to early stage venture. He spent multiple years running a gallery in Dallas, Texas where he grew up and continues to advise art collectors to this day. He earned his M.B.A from Babson’s Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business in 2014 and dual majored in Business and Art History from the University of Kansas in 2010.
